Getting Rid of the Spare Tire
The belly
fat ring that is around the abdominal area is called “visceral adipose fat”
most of us call it a pot belly or beer Belly, Spare Tire, or love handles. Whatever
we may call it the truth of the matter is that if you have belly fat you
subject your body to more health risks.
One of the first things I discovered was that how much you
weigh may be less important than you think. Studies show measuring the
waistline is a better indicator when it comes to measuring health levels in men
and women. It has been proven that men whose waist measures 40 inches or more
and women who have a waistline measuring 35 inches or more are putting
themselves at risk for diabetes, high blood pressure, heart attack, stroke,
cancer, and other illnesses.
Dr. Robert
Eckel, president of the AHA, says, “A big waistline puts you at risk for many
health problems---diabetes, heart disease, high blood pressure, and stroke.”

of Neurology published a report
What Does It Take to Get A Spare Tire?
Pretty much
nothing!! Living an inactive lifestyle and not being very mobile will
definitely help. Other things that will contribute to your spare tire is your
diet. High averages of carbohydrates, full fat dairy products, and saturated
fats found in red meat contribute to abdominal fat. Of course that occasional
12 pack of beer does not help either.
What Does It Take to Get Rid of That Spare Tire
Eat more
fruits, vegetables and other high fiber, low fat products. Eat more chicken,
and fish. Eat less red meat. Do so in a modest manner! Do not go over board and
stop eating carbs entirely. There are good carbs and they are important for
your over all health. It will not hurt you to go on a healthy diet and to get
yourself involved in a good exercise program. A good home gym will give you
some great flexibility and help in finding the time to exercise. You can find
some great exercise programs at home gyms books You might also want to check
out the diet book section for a couple of great programs to help you lose some
of that belly fat.
Always
remember to contact your physician before you try any abrupt change to diet,
medication, or exercise.
